Betty Boop in Boop Oop a Doop (1932). voice by Little Ann Little or either Margie Hines who knows they all sound alike, the typical Helen Kane impersonation. Betty's a circus headliner in Boop-oop-a-doop. Betty can be seen on horseback. Betty then star's as a liontamer & a highwire walker. Upon the highwire, Betty sings a jazz number, "Do Something, Boop-oop-a-doop," which had been a hit song for Helen Kane in 1929; Betty, of course, was based on flapper ragtime singer Helen Kane.

Helen Kane the Original Boop Oop a Doop girl has a little fun with the Camera, which has something to do with paramount. She sings a little bit of Do Something, which was proberly to Promote the Film Nothing But the Truth (1929) where she plays the role of mabel jackson and performs the whole song which has seemed to have been removed from the video version's of the movie nothing but the truth. This Clip might be a soundtest. Uploaded by BoopBoopadoop. download with care ;) fellow Boopers.

Jack and the beanstalk (1931). voice by Ann rothschild aka Little ann little. Betty gets top billing in Jack & the Beanstalk because she was the bigger star by the latter part of 1931, but second-billed Bimbo plays the title role & has the larger amount of screen time. Bimbo has reverted to the un-cute white-faced Bimbo in this one. Betty still has doggy ears.

But she still has doggy ears. Bimbo has to mind his baby brother Aloysius, a complete brat who whines for no reason, smokes cigars, plays the market, & is in general annoying.

Betty's Second apperance. (1930) Her voice is provided by Margie Hines. Betty goes by the name of Nancy Lee. As Nancy she's rather freakish in the marionette way she moves her legs & when she screws up her face she's horridly ugly. Had there been a "progression" of a primitive Betty to the Betty we are happiest to know & love.

Helen Kane (August 4, 1904 – September 26, 1966) was a popular American Singer of the 1920's. Her Signature song was I Wanna be Loved by you. It had been discovered that Helen Kane had swiped the "Boop" scat singing style from a African American performer by the name of "Baby Esther" and used it in the show Goodboy in 1928. Helen Kane was half of the inspiration for the creation of "Betty Boop" the other half was Clara Bow. Helen's signature song today can be...

Also known as the "Fleischer Studios Victory Newsreel" which features Little Ann Little, Bonnie Poe, Mae Questel and Margie Hines and Kate Wright. This was a victory message after winning against original Boop-Boop-a-Doop girl Helen Kane. The 5 voices of Betty Boop are stating "You can say our voices are awful, or my songs are too risque but don't take our Boop-Oop-a-Doop away!
